Growing up in Austin athletics were always a part of my life. As a young kid I participated in every sport that I could get my hands on. Basketball was always my favorite until 8th grade when I discovered shot put. I had always done track to stay in shape until I found out that I was pretty strong and could throw farther than everyone else. In high school I kept up with other sports but my main focus was discus and shot put. Being a third generation Aggie it was a dream come true when they asked me to come to A&M and continue my throwing career. While at A&M I focused on the discus, hammer, and weight throw. I left A&M as third on the all time leader list for Discus, Hammer, and Weight throw and this stands today.

After graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics I stayed in College Station to be close to a new guy I had been dating. It was a good choice to stay because I ended up marrying Casey Hall in 2007. He is currently the General Manager of Blue Baker on Dominik. We had our first child, Jackson Riojas Hall, in February.

I began working with Train With Charlie in February of 2007. I balanced personal training with fitness camps and have now moved my focus to primarily fitness camps. My goal through fitness camps is to bring lots of different people with varying fitness levels together and show them that working out can be fun, how to make it part of their lifestyle, and give them tools to design workouts on their own. My knowledge base stems from the National Strength and Conditioning Association with whom I have my certifications through. These include the CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) and CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). Over the past two summers I have spent more time working with youth and student athletes so my next goal is to obtain my Youth Fitness Specialist certification.

Being a track athlete in college my fitness focus was power, strength, and explosiveness. Since finishing my track career I have moved my fitness focus in the opposite direction towards more endurance based challenges. I have run a half marathon, sprint triathlon, and will be competing in an Olympic triathlon in October.  I love working out and will give anything a try. Just as you wouldn’t go a day without eating, I believe that you shouldn’t go a day without being active.
